What is Flower Haul?

Flower Haul is an online flower shop and delivery service that delivers the freshest flowers, direct from the flower markets to your door. Our offering includes a seasonal line up of single-type bunches and mixed arrangements, all of which are handpicked fresh from the flower markets each morning. We also offer flower subscriptions that provide regular deliveries of fresh flowers.


How does Flower Haul work?

Pick your bunch from our selection of flowers here. Pick the colour and size of the bunch. Then select your preferred delivery date from the calendar. BOOM! We pick your flowers to order from the flower markets and deliver them to you in our pretty, signature box. Couldn’t be easier.


Is Flower Haul available everywhere?

We're now sending our flowers right down the East Coast of Queensland and New South Wales, as far as Mackay and Sydney. This includes Rockhampton, Gladstone, Bundaberg, Maryborough, Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Ipswich, Toowoomba, Gold Coast, Northern Rivers, Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie, Newcastle and Central Coast and most areas in between. Please ensure the delivery address is within our delivery zone before completing your order.


How fast can I get a Flower Haul delivered?

We offer free, same-day delivery for Brisbane metro and free, next-day delivery for all other areas in our delivery zone.


How do I contact someone at Flower Haul?

Try emailing us at hello@flowerhaul.com.au or completing the form on our Contact Us page. We man our inbox almost 24/7 and will aim to respond within a few hours. You can also send us a message on Instagram or Facebook. However, sending more than one enquiry is not necessary, we’ll respond to your message as soon as we can in whichever form it arrives! Every single email and message is important to us, and we respond to all of them as quickly as possible. But sometimes, it can take up to 24 hours so please be patient.


Do you guarantee that I'll be happy with my flowers?

Having extremely happy customers is the only way that we want to do business. If we don’t deliver a happy Flower Haul experience to you (either by way of flowers or service), we’ll do our absolute best to make up for it. It’s important to keep in mind that we are dealing with a natural product and that flowers in general can be a bit delicate and unpredictable. But if for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your flowers, please contact us right away so that we can resolve any issues.

We’re a small business based out of the flower markets in Rocklea in Brisbane, Queensland and we’re very passionate about supporting Australian flower growers and their families. That’s why we go to great lengths to source Australian grown flowers wherever possible.


FLOWER QUESTIONS

Do you offer floral arrangements or bouquets?

We’re not a traditional florist and so don't provide your typical, heavily style floral arrangements. In our flower shop, you’ll find a selection of the freshest, seasonal bunches, which are handpicked straight from the flower markets. We offer both single-type market bunches and mixed bunches. All of our bunches are wrapped in natural kraft paper and tied with jute string to complete our ‘fresh from the markets’ style.


What types of flowers do you offer?

In our online flower shop, you’ll find a large range of seasonal flowers and foliage in a variety of colours and sizes. Our flower offering is generally based on what’s in season and current trends. You can browse all our flowers here.


What’s the difference between your 'Market Bunches' and 'Mixed Bunches' collections?

Our Market Bunches are made up of a single type of flower. These bunches are full-size market bunches and exactly what you’d expect to find at the local flower markets.
Our Mixed Bunches are simple arrangements that are created using a few different flowers and colours. These are perfect for gifts!


How many flowers will I receive?

Tough question! The number of stems will vary depending on the type of flower you receive. As a rough guide, if you're ordering the original size, you can expect to receive approximately 5-10 stems in your bunch. If you're ordering the deluxe size, you can expect approximately 15-25 stems in your bunch or 25-35 stems in the grand size. Please refer to the individual flower descriptions on each product page for more details on what stem amount to expect.


Will my flowers be exactly as they are in the photo?

All our photos are highly accurate images of what the flowers will look like once they bloom. Our flowers are sourced freshly cut, so will probably still in a closed or bud form when they arrive. You'll need to allow a couple of days for them to open fully. This is a good thing, it means the majority of the flowers’ vase lives are spent with you!


How should I care for my flowers?

We are extremely proud that we deliver flowers that could not possibly be fresher. However, in the same-way that you’d need to care for flowers if you were buying them from the flower markets or farmers’ market, you will need to also care for your flowers in your Flower Haul deliver. We do ask that you show your flowers a little TLC once you receive them. Please follow our Flower Care guide to ensure you can enjoy them for as long as possible.


How long will my flowers last?

Your flowers are picked, packed and delivered - all within a very short space of time so you’re getting them as fresh as possible. On average, our flowers will last about 7-10 days when our Flower Care guide is followed properly. But some varieties will last up to 2-3 weeks after they’re delivered to you!


I really liked a type of flower I saw last month but I can’t find it now. Why has it disappeared?

Our flower offerings change frequently due to seasonality, availability and popularity. If you're searching for a specific type of flower, please email us and we’ll do our best to hunt it down for you.


Can I choose the type of flowers in my flower haul?

Absolutely! Click over to our single-type market bunches, which allows you to shop by specific flower type.


Why do you ask for my colour preference?

We’ll pick your flowers based on your colour preference but depending on availability and quality, we can’t always guarantee the colour of flowers that will be delivered. They may also vary slightly from the colours displayed and listed on the website. But we can guarantee that they’ll be beautiful!


Can I use the flowers in cooking?

All our flowers are designed to be for use as decorative, fresh cut flowers. None of our flowers should be consumed by anyone or anything including adults, children, pets or any other animals; they are for decorative use only.


What if I have an allergy to a specific flower?

Some people do have allergies to some flower types, so if you know that you have particular flower allergy, please do not order the type of flower that you’re allergic too. If you’re ordering from our subscriptions range (where we choose the type of flower for you), you may like to shoot us an email (support@flowerhaul.com.au) as soon as you've placed your order, and we’ll do our best to exclude this specific flower from your flower haul.


Where do your flowers come from?

Seeds, of course! But really. Our flowers are sourced directly from the flower markets in Brisbane, Australia. We’re very passionate about supporting our local growers and their families, which is why we prefer to source Australian-grown flowers where we can.


What makes your flowers so fresh?

We don’t hold any flower stock and source our flowers from as locally as possible. We handpick our flowers from the flower markets in the morning, they are immediately repackaged upon arrival at Flower Haul HQ and delivered to you straight away. So the majority of our flowers’ lives are spent with you – not in a warehouse or cold room.


Why are your prices cheaper?

Our prices are lower than any other traditional florists or flower shops, as our online model is completely stripped back. We do not hold flower stock or carry any excess supplies. We pick the flowers based on the orders we receive, avoiding waste and high overhead costs. In this way, we are able to pass savings (and value for money) onto you. Ta-dah.

How do I order?

How do I get started with a subscription?

Firstly, pick your type of flowers from our Subscriptions collection. Then choose a delivery frequency - whether you’d like your flowers delivered weekly, fortnightly or monthly, we’ve got an option for you. Select how long you’d like the flower subscription to last for, and pick your preferred delivery day. That’s it!


What’s included in the price?

Everything! Including taxes and delivery.


Can I order by telephone?

No. Sorry. We’re proudly a 100% online business.


Can I order a flower haul as a one-off purchase?

While we hope to encourage every home and every office to have fresh flowers as often as possible, our flowers are all available as single, once-time purchases. But if you'd like flowers to miraculously show up at your door on a regular basis, please choose one of our flexible weekly, fortnightly or monthly flower subscriptions.


Can I buy a flower haul as a gift and have it delivered as one?

Sure can. (And what a maginificent idea!) What better way is there to make a friend, colleague or a fam member instantly happy than with market-fresh flowers? Just make sure you enter the details of who you are sending the gift to during the checkout process.


Can I include a card with a message if it's for someone else?

Yep. Just check the box on the checkout page that asks if you'd like to include a card with a personalised message. We'll hand-write your message on the card and include it with the flowers.


Can I order flowers in bulk from Flower Haul?

Absolutely. Our picked-to-order flowers are very affordable and they’re delivered direct from the flower markets to your door. That makes us perfect for parties, celebrations, fancy occasions, corporate events and more. Just contact us or find out more about custom orders.


My order has been processed. Can I cancel it? Or change the flowers? Or the address?

While we wish we could accommodate every situation and every request, once an order is on it’s way to you there is little we can do. For order cancellations, 24 hours notice must be provided. If you’d like to change your subscription preferences at anytime before your scheduled delivery date, just email us at support@flowerhaul.com.au.


What if I'm unhappy with my order?

If we don’t deliver a bunch happiness to you (either by way of flowers or your experience), we’ll do our absolute best to make up for it. It’s important to keep in mind that we're dealing with a natural product and that flowers in general can be a bit delicate and unpredictable. But if for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your flowers, please email us right away at support@flowerhaul.com.au so that we can resolve any issues.


I demand a refund or replacement!

We will do everything we can to make sure that every single Flower Haul experience is a happy one. But we're not perfect, and from time to time, hiccups do happen. If you are for any reason unsatisfied with your flowers or the experience, please contact us as soon as you can to report the problem, and we will help with an appropriate solution. Can I pause my flower subscription if I’m going away?

Yes. We can pause a subscription at anytime. We’ll just need five days' notice. To pause your subscription, please send an email to support@flowerhaul.com.au.


DELIVERY FAQS

Does Flower Haul deliver to my town / suburb / city?

We're now sending our flowers right down the East Coast of Queensland and New South Wales, as far as Mackay and Sydney. Do you deliver to schools, hospitals, etc?

We do. However, you’ll need to provide ALL the necessary details, which will often include a specific room number, ward/wing number, department, building name and level, as well as a phone number. We cannot take responsibility for flowers that cannot be delivered due to a lack of information provided.


Is delivery available every day of the week?

We deliver every weekday (Monday to Friday) in Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast metro areas. We deliver Tuesday to Friday only in our next-day zones. Please note, no deliveries are made on weekends or public holidays. Any deliveries due on public holidays will occur the business day following.


Do you offer same-day delivery?

Yes, ma-am! We offer same-day flower delivery to over 100 suburbs in the Brisbane area. You’ll just need to order by midday to be eligible for same-day delivery. And be sure to order from our same-day flowers collection this mapto see specific suburbs within our same-day delivery zone.


What is a ‘Preferred Delivery Date’?

During the checkout process, you’ll be asked to select your preferred delivery date. We’ll do our absolute best to deliver them on the date you choose. However, we deliver all our flowers using a partner courier network. While we strive to provide an amazing service from start to finish, we cannot control our partner couriers’ operations and so we cannot 'guarantee' delivery on a specified date or at a specific time. In addition, things happen such as road and traffic incidents, severe weather, acts of nature, sharknadoes, etc. If, for any reason, we're unable to deliver your order within the expected timeframe, we'll contact you to notify you of any delays and ensure that your flowers get to their new home as soon as possible.


How much are your delivery fees?

FREE, always. Delivery is included in the price of all orders.


What are your order cut-off times?

To qualify for same-day delivery within the Brisbane area, your order MUST be processed before midday (12pm AEST.) To qualify for next-day delivery for all other areas, your order MUST be processed before midday (12pm AEST) on the day before. For example, if you’d like your flowers delivered on Thursday, you’ll need to order them prior to 1.00pm on Wednesday. Please note, if your flowers are being sent to a rural suburb outside the metro areas, there's a small chance your delivery may take a bit longer than usual.


Can I specify a delivery time?

All orders will be delivered between 7am and 7pm for residential addresses, and between 9am and 5pm for business addresses. Unfortunately, we don’t allow to select a specific time for your flowers to be delivered. We're happy to deliver to either a home or office address – just use the most appropriate address during the checkout process. Our flowers are wrapped in a hydration pack to ensure that they remain fresh, and carefully placed in a custom-made box to protect them so they will wait happily for you to arrive home if you’re out during delivery.


What happens if I’m not at home / not available during the delivery time?

Ideally, we'd love to deliver the flowers to you in person, so we can either deliver to your office or your home – just use the most appropriate address during the checkout process. If you’re not around during the delivery time, our delivery instructions to our delightful couriers are to 'please leave in a secure place out of the weather'. However, kindly understand that this is done at their discretion.


Does somebody have to be there to accept the delivery?

We offer one delivery option, which is 'Authority To Leave'. This is because the flowers are perishable and we don't want them in transit longer than they need to be, or sitting at a depot or warehouse for extended periods. We ask our couriers to please leave the box in a safe place out of the weather/sun/heat.


How will my flowers arrive?

Our flowers are wrapped in a special hydration pack, which will keep those stems fresh and nourished until they arrive at their destination. The bunches are then wrapped in brown kraft paper, tied with twine and placed in our gorgeous, signature flower box, which has been designed to protect the precious cargo inside. All you'll need to do is unwrap the flowers, trim the stems and dunk them in fresh water. It helps to also follow the flower care instructions provided with the box.


Is it safe to ship the flowers?

Yes! This is also how most florists around the country receive their blooms from the flower market or the farms. In order to service such a large delivery zone, we do use a national courier partner to get your flowers to you or the recipient as quick as possible. Our flowers are delivered fresh from the markets in special hydration pouches to keep them well-watered for the journey. However, it is important to follow the care instructions once they arrive, particularly trimming the stems and dunking them in fresh water.


My flowers arrived, but why are they closed or in bud form?

We pick all our flowers to order, fresh from the flower markets. Most types of flowers are still in bud form when they're cut from farm and picked from the flower markets. This means you're getting your flowers as fresh as what you're local florist does! The best bit, you'll get to enjoy the whole blooming process and the flowers' whole vase life. Just be sure to follow the flower care instructions that come with your flowers.


Help! My order didn't arrive at the exact time/day that was most convenient for me.

We work hard to ensure your blooms are delivered on time, every time. Please note that our partner courier network controls your flower haul delivery once it has left Flower Haul HQ. And while we strive for amazing service from start to finish, we cannot control the couriers' operations, or weather, traffic and other unforeseen issues that sometimes cause delays. Ultimately, we cannot ever guarantee a certain time of the day, or on a certain day.


Help! I didn’t receive my flowers at all!

Please email us at support@flowerhaul.com.au so that we can resolve any issues as soon as possible. If the incorrect information was provided on an order form, we cannot be held liable but will try our very best to achieve the best possible outcome for you.


ACCOUNT + BILLING QUESTIONS

What type of payments do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard and PayPal. We’re also now offering Afterpay, which allows you to send or receive fresh flowers now, and pay for them later.


How do I add a promo code?

You can apply promo and discount codes at checkout in the note and payment sections.


Is it safe to use my credit card on Flower Haul?

Absolutely. We securely process all payments using Stripe, which is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1 - the most stringent level of certification, and PayPal. These payment gateways allow us to accept credit card payments without ever having to store your personal and sensitive data on our servers. This means you're always protected.
